Orders and payment

From adding to cart to the confirmation in your inbox.

How do I place an order?

Choose your mirror, floor lamp or furniture piece, add it to your cart and head to checkout. Enter your address to see live delivery options and costs, or choose Click and Collect to pick up from our Albany showroom at no charge. Once you have paid, an order confirmation arrives in your inbox.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and UnionPay. Afterpay is also available if you would like to spread the cost. Every payment goes through our secure checkout.

How does Afterpay work?

Afterpay is available on every order with no minimum spend. Choose it at checkout and the total is split into four interest free payments. The first is taken when you order and the other three come out automatically every two weeks. There are no extra charges from us beyond the product price and delivery.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us within 24 hours of ordering and we will do our best to change or cancel your order before it is dispatched. Once an order has been dispatched the delivery method cannot be changed, so please check it carefully at checkout.

Will I get a receipt or tax invoice?

A receipt is emailed as soon as you pay. If you need a printed copy or a tax invoice, let us know your order number and we will sort it out.

I have not received my order confirmation. What should I do?

Check your junk or spam folder first, as confirmation emails sometimes land there. If it is not there, the email address may have been mistyped at checkout. Email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz or call 09 971 1787 with your name and order details and we will send it again.

How do I know if something is in stock?

Every product page shows whether the item is In Stock, on Pre Order or Sold Out. In stock items leave our Auckland warehouse within 2 business days.

What does pre order mean?

A pre order lets you secure an item before it lands in our Auckland warehouse. The product page shows when the shipment is expected, so check that date before you order. Your order is sent out once the stock has arrived.

Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?

For trade, home staging or multiple item orders, email info@cfcreation.co.nz with the pieces and quantities you are after and we will put together a quote.

Delivery

Mirrors and furniture travel with Mainfreight. Floor lamps travel with NZ Post.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is calculated live at checkout, so you see the exact cost for your address before you pay. Mirrors and furniture travel with Mainfreight, and the rate depends on your address and the size and weight of your order. Floor lamps ship with NZ Post at live rates.

Want to know before you add to cart? Use Calculate delivery cost on any product page and enter your postcode. Our delivery page has the full detail.

What is the difference between home delivery and depot collection?

Depending on your address, checkout can offer two Mainfreight options.

  • Home Delivery brings your order to your door, with a two person team for large mirrors.
  • Depot Collection usually costs less. Your order goes to the Mainfreight depot nearest you and they text you when it is ready to collect.

Please choose carefully, as the delivery method cannot be changed once your order has been dispatched.

How long does delivery take?

Orders leave our Auckland warehouse within 2 business days. Mirror and furniture deliveries usually take 5 to 7 business days anywhere in New Zealand. Rural addresses can take an extra 1 to 2 business days, and things can run a little slower during big sale periods.

Floor lamps travel separately with NZ Post as a tracked parcel.

Do you deliver to rural addresses?

Yes. We deliver to every address in New Zealand, including rural and remote locations. For mirrors and furniture, allow an extra 1 to 2 business days. The live rate at checkout is worked out for your exact address.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an email with tracking details as soon as your order is dispatched. For home delivery, Mainfreight texts you to arrange a time that suits, and every order is signed for on arrival. For depot collection, Mainfreight texts you when your order is ready to pick up.

My order has not arrived yet. What should I do?

Start with the tracking link in your dispatch email, which shows where your order is. If a mirror or furniture order has taken more than 7 business days, or 9 for a rural address, or the tracking on a lamp has stopped moving, email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz with your order number and we will follow it up with the carrier for you.

Will the delivery team bring my mirror inside?

Home Delivery is to your front door, and Mainfreight uses a two person team for large mirrors. Carrying a mirror up stairs or placing it inside may incur an additional fee, so contact us before dispatch if access to your home is tricky.

How are mirrors packed for the trip?

We pack every mirror ourselves in custom packaging, with firm foam and a sturdy 35mm wooden frame around it, so it stays protected on the road and arrives ready to enjoy.

How do floor lamps ship?

Floor lamps ship flat pack in a double wall carton with foam corner protection. They travel with NZ Post as a tracked parcel, and the rate is calculated live at checkout from your address.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Unbox it and check it over within 48 hours of delivery. If anything is not right, take clear photos and email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz straight away so we can put it right. Hold on to the packaging until you are happy with everything.

Showroom and pickup

See the range in person, or collect your order at no charge.

Where is your showroom and when is it open?

The C&F Creation Albany Showroom is at Unit B, 19 Arrenway Drive, Rosedale, Auckland 0632. We are open 7 days: Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

The full mirror and floor lamp range is on display and no appointment is needed. Get directions.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?

Yes, and pickup is free. Choose Click and Collect at checkout and we will email you when your order is ready. Park outside the showroom, come straight in with your name and order number, and our team will bring your order to the counter.

How soon can I collect my order?

Pickup orders are ready within 24 hours, and same day pickup is often possible. If you need it urgently, call us on 09 971 1787 before you head over.

Can I buy in the showroom and take it home the same day?

Yes. Anything in stock can go home with you the same day, and there is no pickup fee.

Will a full length mirror fit in my car?

Measure your boot or back seat opening against the mirror size on the product page, and allow extra for the protective packaging, which includes a wooden frame. Larger mirrors often need a van, ute or trailer. Bring blankets and tie downs, and keep in mind that once a mirror leaves the showroom in your vehicle, the trip home is at your own risk. If you are not sure, give us a call first.

How can I contact you?

Call 09 971 1787 during showroom hours, email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz, use the chat on this site or send a message through our contact page. We aim to reply to every enquiry within one business day. Having your order number handy helps us help you faster.

Returns and refunds

Our 90 Day Money Back Guarantee, in plain words.

What is your return policy?

You have 90 calendar days from the day your order arrives to return it. The item needs to be unused, in the same condition you received it and in its original packaging, and we will need your proof of purchase. You can choose a refund or an exchange.

Our 90 Day Money Back Guarantee sits on top of your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

How do I start a return?

Email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz with your order number and a short note on why you are returning it. We will reply with the return address and next steps. Pack the item securely in its original packaging with all accessories and paperwork.

Who pays for return shipping?

For a change of mind return, return shipping is at your cost and the original delivery charge is not refunded. We recommend a trackable service or shipping insurance.

If the item is faulty, arrives damaged or is not as described, we arrange the pickup at our cost and the refund is in full.

How long does a refund take?

Once your return reaches us we inspect it and let you know the outcome. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days, though your card issuer may take a little longer to show it.

Can I return a floor lamp?

For a change of mind, yes, as long as the lamp is unopened and in its original packaging. Once a lamp has been unpacked or assembled we cannot accept it back for change of mind, because it can no longer be sold as new. Faulty lamps are always covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

My mirror measures slightly different from the listing. Is that a fault?

A small difference is normal and is not a fault. Our mirrors are handcrafted: the glass is laser cut and the edges are ground and polished, so a finished mirror can measure 1 to 2cm different from the listed size. A fine joint line of 1 to 2mm where frame sections meet, or a trace of assembly adhesive that wipes off with a soft dry cloth, is also normal.

If you are not comfortable with this, you can still return the mirror under the 90 day guarantee, with return shipping at your cost.

Is there anything that cannot be returned?

Mirrors damaged through misuse or accidents cannot be returned, and floor lamps that have been opened are not eligible for change of mind returns. Other items can come back within 90 days when they are unused, in their original packaging and with proof of purchase.

Damage and warranty

If something is not right, we will put it right.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

Email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a short description and clear photos or a video of the damage and the packaging. We will arrange pickup and send a replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer, at no cost to you.

What does your warranty cover?

Our mirrors and floor lamps come with a 1 year warranty that covers material defects and faulty workmanship. For mirrors that includes the frame, the glass and the backing. If a fault shows up within the first year, we replace the item at no extra cost.

The warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Read the Premium Warranty.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email customerservice@cfcreation.co.nz with your order number and a few photos of the issue. Our team reviews every claim and replies within 2 business days.

What is not covered?

Damage from misuse, accidents, incorrect assembly or not following the installation instructions is not covered. Neither is damage that happens while you transport an item yourself, for example on the way home from the showroom. The small variations that come with handcrafted mirrors are not faults either.

Do I need to keep the packaging?

Yes, until you are sure you are keeping the item. Returns under the 90 day guarantee need the original packaging, and it is the safest way to move a mirror if it ever has to travel again.

Mirrors

Designed in New Zealand and made in our own factory.

What size full length mirror do I need?

For a head to toe view, most people need a mirror around 160cm or taller. 180cm is the popular choice if you want to see a full outfit with room to spare, and our 200 x 100cm and 220 x 120cm mirrors work as statement pieces in larger rooms.

Our Mirror Size Calculator matches your wall, what you want to see and the shape you like against the whole range, and the comparison tool puts mirrors side by side.

What are your mirrors made of?

The glass is 4mm or thicker double silver mirror glass with low iron content, which keeps the reflection clear and true. Frames are aluminium alloy or premium PS, depending on the style, and every mirror has a shatter resistant backing film. All our mirrors are designed in New Zealand and made in our own factory.

What is ultra clear glass?

Standard mirror glass contains iron, which gives the reflection a slight green or blue cast. Ultra clear glass has far less of it, so skin tones and clothing colours look the way they do in real life. It matters most when you are getting dressed or doing makeup. Many of our mirrors use it, and the Specifications tab on each product page lists the glass.

Will the mirror distort my reflection?

It should not. Distortion usually comes from thin glass that flexes. We use glass that is 4mm or thicker, which stays flat and gives a natural, true reflection. It is one of the things customers mention most in their reviews.

Is the glass safe if it breaks?

Every mirror has a shatter resistant backing film. In the unlikely event of a breakage, the film holds the fragments in place rather than letting them scatter.

Can I hang my mirror on the wall?

Many of our mirrors can be wall mounted. Most of our newer models have a reinforced backing frame with brackets already fitted, and our freestanding mirrors, apart from the Nova, include wall mounting hardware as well as their stand. Some older or frameless designs are best for leaning or freestanding use only, so check the Specifications tab on the product page.

Our guide to hanging a mirror on plasterboard covers studs and fixings.

Is wall mounting hardware included?

Yes. Our wall mirrors and our dual use freestanding mirrors come with mounting hardware and instructions. For the most secure hold on plasterboard, fix into the wall studs behind it. If you are unsure, a local builder can have it up safely in minutes.

Can I lean a mirror against the wall instead?

Yes. Our floor mirrors are designed to lean at a slight angle, which suits renters and anyone who likes to rearrange. The Nova is the exception, as it stands on its own built in stand. Keep the anti slip pads on the base. For any mirror over 20kg, or in homes with children, pets or earthquake risk, add a safety tether from the back of the mirror to a wall anchor.

Do freestanding mirrors need assembly?

No. On every freestanding mirror, the Nova included, the stand is built into the back. Fold it out, stand the mirror upright and it is ready in under a minute.

How heavy are your mirrors?

It depends on the size. Our 160 x 60cm mirrors weigh around 11 to 13kg, 180 x 80cm mirrors around 19kg, the 200 x 100cm Grandeur range about 42kg and our largest 220 x 120cm mirrors about 45kg. The smaller sizes are a comfortable one person carry. We recommend two people for 180cm mirrors and larger. The Specifications tab on each product page lists the exact weight.

Can I use a mirror in a bathroom?

Yes. All our mirrors have a moisture resistant backing that handles humid rooms. In a bathroom we recommend wall mounting rather than leaning, so water cannot pool at the base. Slimmer models such as the Eclipse (180 x 40cm) and Nocturne (180 x 50cm) work well where space is tight.

How do I clean my mirror?

Use the soft dry cloth that comes in the box for everyday dust and marks. For a deeper clean, a glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth work well. Skip paper towels, which leave lint, and avoid abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners. Wipe the frame with a slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards.

Do you make custom sizes?

Not at the moment. We focus on a curated range, from 155cm to 220cm tall, and put our effort into getting those sizes right. If you are stuck between two, the showroom team or the Mirror Size Calculator can help.

What is the difference between a floor mirror and a freestanding mirror?

A floor mirror leans against the wall at a slight angle. A freestanding mirror has its own stand, so it sits upright without a wall. Several of ours, such as the Svelte X, come with a stand and can also be wall mounted.

Floor lamps

Plug in, switch on, no electrician needed.

Do your floor lamps come with a bulb?

No, bulbs are not included. Every C&F floor lamp takes a standard E27 screw in globe, the common fitting in New Zealand. We suggest a warm white LED, around 2700K, for a soft evening glow. Any hardware store will have one.

Do I need an electrician to set up a floor lamp?

No. Every lamp plugs into a standard NZ three pin power point and is ready to use once assembled. No wiring is needed.

How long does assembly take?

Most lamps ship flat pack and take around 5 to 15 minutes to put together with the hex key included in the box.

How tall are your floor lamps?

Our lamps stand between 150 and 195cm tall. For a living room, 150 to 180cm puts the light comfortably above a sofa. For reading, look for a shade whose lower edge sits near your eye level when seated, which usually means a lamp of 155 to 175cm. Each product page lists the exact height.

Will an arc floor lamp tip over?

The longer arcs in our range sit on a solid marble or weighted metal base that balances the shade. Stand the lamp on a flat floor and keep the cord out of the walkway. In a home with toddlers or an energetic dog, place the base behind the sofa where it is less likely to be bumped.

Is one floor lamp enough to light a room?

One lamp comfortably lights a reading corner or the area around a sofa, roughly 4 to 6 square metres. For a whole living room, layer two or three light sources and keep the globes at a similar colour temperature so the room reads as one.

How do I clean a fabric shade?

Dust it every couple of weeks with a soft brush or the upholstery tool on your vacuum. A barely damp cloth lifts the odd mark. Avoid soaking the shade and let it dry naturally.

Furniture

Drawers and cabinets, built for everyday life.

Do your drawer units need assembly?

Yes. Our drawer units are delivered flat pack so they travel safely. A step by step assembly guide is in the box, and a PDF copy is on each product page if you would like to read ahead.

Do tall cabinets need to be fixed to the wall?

They are designed to be stable in everyday use, but we strongly recommend fitting the anti tip hardware included with our taller cabinets, especially in homes with small children. It anchors the unit to the wall and greatly reduces the risk of it tipping.

What are your drawers made of?

Our chests of drawers use durable MDF for the main structure, with metal runners for a smooth glide. Each product page lists the materials for that piece.

How do I care for my furniture?

Dust with a soft dry cloth. For marks, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry straight away. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, use coasters under drinks and try not to drag rough objects across the surface.
