I am extremely excited to announce the upcoming launch of my full-length mirror eCommerce store in New Zealand. As this is my first blog post, I wanted to share the story behind why I decided to bring premium full-length mirrors to NZ.
The Inspiration Behind the Idea
The idea sparked one day when my mum and I were getting ready to go out. She realised we didn't have a full-length mirror at home, which made it inconvenient to see our full outfits. Like many homes in New Zealand, we only had small square bathroom mirrors that aren't suitable for a full-body view. This inconvenience made me think: surely others are facing the same problem.
A Blend of Passion and Expertise
Reflecting on my journey, I recall my time at Unitec, where I honed my visual storytelling skills through studies in digital technology, graphic design, photography, and filmmaking. Guided by supervisors who were experts from various industries, I enhanced my abilities to a high level.
After graduation, I dived into the digital marketing industry for nearly seven years, helping three businesses achieve number one rankings on Google through my SEM and SEO skills. These experiences equipped me with the knowledge to run a successful online store.
Turning a Problem into an Opportunity
Motivated by my mum's experience, I began researching the availability of full-length mirrors in NZ and discovered that not only were they scarce, but also quite expensive. This realisation led me to consider leveraging my family's glass manufacturing expertise.
