Cosmo Chrome Marble Base Floor Lamp

Cosmo is the loud one. A 183cm chrome arc rising from a solid black marble disc, high-shine metal that picks up every light in the room. For a retro-glam lounge or a modernist apartment, this is the lamp that does the talking.

Chrome and how it behaves
A matte black floor lamp disappears against a dark floor. Chrome does the opposite. It mirrors the rest of the room: the ceiling light, the window behind you, the lamp across the couch. It becomes part of how the space reads at night. That reflective quality is why chrome reads mid-century or 1970s in tone, and why it needs room to breathe. Keep the surrounding surfaces calmer so Cosmo does not fight with other strong pieces.

Weight under a tall arc
The black marble base is 9.7kg, second only to Nero in the range. It has to be. The chrome arc reaches about 85cm sideways, holding a drum shade out over a couch or chair. A lighter base would tip. The arc curve is polished chrome, long enough that you see yourself reflected if you stand a metre away.

Sits best
Over a light or mid-toned couch in a lounge with high ceilings. 183cm wants 2.7m of ceiling to feel proportioned, though it still works under 2.4m if the furniture below it is also generous in scale. E27 globe takes a warm-white LED. For a modern retro bedroom, Cosmo is a single-statement piece; avoid doubling up with other shiny-metal fixtures.
