Luma Pleated Shade Floor Lamp

Luma is the shortest lamp in our range at 153cm. That is deliberate. Under a standard 2.4m Kiwi ceiling, a 190cm lamp crowds the space above a bed. A 153cm lamp sits naturally beside it.

Scandi at Kiwi ceiling height
Timber-effect pole, round weighted base, wide pleated cotton shade. Luma reads Scandi from five metres and quiet from one. The pleats diffuse light in a wide cone rather than down in a narrow column, which softens a bedroom without throwing hard edges on the wall. The timber-effect finish looks like oak without the price or the maintenance of real timber. 5.65kg of base weight keeps it steady on a rug.

Wide-cone soft light
A narrow drum shade spotlights the area directly below it. Luma does the opposite. The light spreads wide and low, lighting a bedroom corner without creating a harsh circle on the bedside table. Takes a standard E27 bulb, and a warm-white LED through the pleats reads honey-coloured rather than cold. Warm white at 2700K reads honey-coloured, which is the right note for a wind-down room.

Where it earns its keep
Next to a queen or double bed as a bedside lamp replacement, beside a chair in a nursery, or in a hallway corner where a taller lamp would scrape the ceiling. Not for a tall villa lounge. A 153cm lamp vanishes under a 3m ceiling. Look at Cosmo or Trilogy if the ceiling is high.
