Vienna Brass Marble Base Floor Lamp

The base of the Vienna is solid white marble, 6.35kg on its own. This is not a lamp you pick up and move around. It is a lamp that anchors a corner of the room.

Weight is the feature
Most floor lamps compromise on base weight to keep shipping costs down. Vienna does not. The marble disc at the bottom is heavy enough that kids can brush past, dogs can lean on it, and the whole thing stays put. The brass arm above it is adjustable over a short arc, so you can angle the shade slightly toward or away from the couch depending on where you want the light to fall.

Brass and marble in practice
White marble reads cleaner than black but will pick up stains from wet glasses or coffee cups if you sit one on it. Treat it like a kitchen benchtop: wipe it down when something spills. The brass arm is coated, so it will not tarnish. 168cm tall overall, and takes a standard E27 globe for a warm-white LED or a low-wattage incandescent if you prefer.

Best paired with
A formal lounge, a leather chair, a velvet ottoman, a dark timber floor. Reads too heavy in a small studio or bedroom. Vienna is a statement lamp for a room that has room.
